14 Rock n Roll Suicide
15 Diamond Dogs-Only Rock and Roll But I Like It

A slightly more passionate and better performance than the 14th, and the vocal is fairly loud and clear.

The band stop playing Young Americans, presumably on Bowie's say so, for him to introduce the song.

nice emotional version of Rock and Roll With Me too.

Bowie was evidently swayed by the crowd...just before the last chords of Rock n Roll Suicide he says "you're the best!".

September 6th 1974

two mp3 files --> ADOBE [fixed and cleaned as good as possible] --> tracked (FLAC) --> Trader's Little Helper --> YOU

HARDCORE ONLY!!

I also had a (for what it's worth) a losless version.
The version I used (the lossy one) sounds like it was recorded from a toilet in the dungeons of the venue.
The losless version sounded like the actual toilet itself, so I flushed that one.

No further information about the source and recording equipement.

Cock-up during Hang On To Yourself, and accidentally deleted 5 second segment from 22-27 seconds.  Replaced with patch from second chorus.  Seamless.

boost sides default of Goldwave Stereo Center tool then applied.
From nowhere, hiss clicks in at 4:37 in Space Oddity and affects The Jean Genie as well.
Goldwave Hiss Removal default setting used for this passage.
Tape flip between The Jean Genie and Time - simple join - OK, with tonal change.
Clumsy gap between Time and The Width Of A Circle - simple join, crowd noise, OK.

Not great quality...the "Could You Educate Me" re-processing of this show that someone did may sound better to many. I have agreed
to do raw transfers for the person who has provided me with these tapes and also I am offering them online in the hope others might do the same or offer some more unusual Bowie. I will be doing re-processing of my own on some of these shows, but only where I find the work makes enough of a difference to make it worth my time doing so, or where I feel my re-processing is a valid alternative to what someone else has already done (ie where I have actually heard someone else's re-processing of the same show, of course! :)).

So this is a raw transfer for those who prefer to hear original Bowie recordings that way or have the time and knowledge to do a good re-working of their own if they so choose.

A phenominal audience recording for the period; from the second night of the famous "Rainbow" shows, rumoured to have been recorded by a mate of Woody Woodmansey.
This was recently sent to me on CDR by Bofinken who asked if I could clean it up a bit and torrent it. To be perfectly honest it was so good I had very little to do. I cleaned off a tiny bit of hiss, removed a few crackles and pops then balanced the volume between tracks and channels. There is a cut in "Width of a Circle", the discs had the missing section badly replaced by a section from the officially released "Ziggy Stardust - The Motion Picture", this I obviously removed.

In my opinion this is as good if not better than the famous Maloney Boston recording and must rank as one of the best Ziggy audience recordings. Part of this show has been booted as "Rainbow Theatre" and complete as "Rainbow - The Magic Theatre", It is certainly an upgrade on both of these. The recording was also remasterd and torrented a few years back as "Up yours Reg" by Downunder2 (Steve), I haven't heard this but I'd be suprised if this is any worse.

The running time is annoyingly just over that of a standard disc, how you wish to split it is up to you, the artwork suggest after "My death",  I actually burnt it complete on a 90 min CDR (Be warned: 90 min discs will play on most PC's but not on most home stereos)

David, who performs the Beatles' "This Boy" for the first and last time, had originally planned to relay the show, live, to a giant screen set up in the market-place.

2nd Info :

This Boy (Lennon/McCartny): this Beatles song was performed occasionally as a part of the early Ziggy shows. A live version, recorded in Aylesbury, Friars Hall, 18-07-72 (or Bristol, Locarno, 27-08-72), was released as an extra track on a/o Cocaine Adds Life (Swastika 1-8-15-4-DB) or A Semi-Acoustic Love Affair (no label).

RE-UP: Nine Inch Nails & David Bowie live in Pittsburgh 1995 - 1DVD - September 23

Nine Inch Nails and David Bowie
Burgettstown, PA  (Pittsburg)
Coca-Cola Star Lake Amphitheatre

Lineage: Ebay purchase, DVD-R ripped with DVD Decrypter.

Terrible Lie
March Of The Pigs
The Becoming
Sanctified
Piggy (Nothing Can Stop Me Now)
Burn
Closer to God
Wish
Gave Up
Down In It
Eraser (instrumental)
Subterraneans
Scary Monsters
Reptile
Hallo Spaceboy
Hurt

From what I can tell, this is a handheld video shot of the giant monitor at the amphitheatre
which was showing a live broadcast of the show.  The broadcast of the show itself
is from multiple POVs with good close ups.  The taper has trouble centering the shot on the
monitor at first but gets it steady after a few minutes.  The begining of Terrible Lie is missing
and the recording stops before David Bowie begins his own set.

NEW: David Bowie "Conversations with Bowie" - 1CD - May 14, 1979

Conversations with Bowie
Capital Radio
14th May 1979.

David Bowie spoke with twelve fans in the Capital Radio studio listening to, and discussing his new album "Lodger".

The Tape:

I traded (probably bought) this poor quality "x-gen" tape many years ago, around 1983, and a few years ago, digitised and cleaned it with Cool Edit Pro, Goldwave, and (I think) Groove mechanic. I also repaired a few parts, and I think it came out "OK", but its not overly superb. ;)

I'm guessing that a promotional record probably exists, but I haven't seen one as yet, and I haven't seen this made available to fans previously.

Of course, if you can provide an upgrade, please feel free to do so. ;)

In relation to the official material content, it is not particularly good quality, and has been retained specifically for completism (yeah... I made that word up). I recommend everybody purchase the legendary official release to enjoy it in pristine, CD or SACD quality sound.

Bonus:

Two Gentlemen In New York.
FL Records - 080284

On October 5, 1979, David Bowie and John Cale went into the Ciarbisstudio, which is located on top of a house or appartment complex in the city of New York.
They recorded some songs there.
Here are some results of these uniQue rehearsals!!

Side 1: Velvet Couch
Side 2: Piano-la

I purchased this numbered limited edition bootleg single, back in the "old days" from one of them "dodgy" mail order services, I expect some time after 8th February 1984, if the release code is to be believed. ;) In fact, I purchesed 3 copies, expecting that one day they'll have some value, considering it was limited to 500 copies. I received Numbers 298, 302, and 303. I guess the "inner Circle" got the important numbers.

In any case, my copies have had very limited airings over the last 25 years, and so this vinyl rip is probably as good as it gets.

Once again, ripped some years ago, they were already in the "Bonus" folder, ready for upload. ;D

...and now, without any further ado...
...enjoy. :-)

David Bowie – Where the fuck did Monday go?
An English Man in New York

British T.V. news 10th January to late February 2016

Sad times and still can’t believe the passing of David Jones.

Got up on Monday morning around 7:10 to open a text from a good friend at work to say David Bowie has died this morning and it’s all over the news, my wife thought I was kidding when I told her and then we turned on the TV.
What a sad day that was to be.

I offer you the news reports I managed to record on that day from the BBC to ITV, SKY and channel 4 and five. To this day I have not really watched them back since I still find it really hard to do and now as I prepare them for you to upload I find I have little or no appetite to upload anymore.
I feel that music has died and the drive to buy even Bowie items anymore has gone…He will be missed.

R.I.P.
There is no other.

Notes:
In these five DVD’s I offer you, you will find some very repetitive and close to other news reports. Sorry if I have on a few reels repeated myself but you will see some very touching and quite moving reports and plus I find it hard to even edit them out.
Disc 5 I have included Big Brother where Angie Bowie makes a right mess of telling her fellow mates the news of David’s passing and then they think it’s another David from the house (what a joke and channel 5 cocks this very sad situation right up).
Reading an article on the title I have used where Bowie sings (Where the fuck did Monday go?) from as you know is in one of his lasts tracks says did Bowie know Sunday was near the end and as the song says where the fuck did Monday go?

RE-UP: Tin Machine "Tin Machine II alternate takes & outtakes" - 3CD

TIN MACHINE
Tin Machine II studio alternate takes and outtakes
1991.xx.xx

301 studios (?)
Sydney, Australia

Over 10 years ago I was acquainted with an associate of one of the members of Tin Machine.  He has all these cassettes of unreleased and uncirculated live shows and
studio outtakes and alternate takes.  I transferred them into the digital domain and I'm glad I did.  This gives us a brief view into the world of one of my
favorite bands.  Mostly alternate takes, this gives us a glimpse into the making of Tin Machine II.  There's a few unreleased songs, mostly instrumental although
'It's Tough' makes quite a few appearances and shows the band was serious about finishing this, but left it off for whatever reason.  Too bad, as I think it's a
pretty strong song.

Setlist:

Fix notes:

Lightweight hiss removal using iZotope RX2 denoiser.

Speed adjustment needed, running too fast.  Sides 1 & 3 adjusted with factor of 97.5%, but side 2 of tape running amazingly fast: factor of 90%.  After adjustments, still some indications that speed may be a little slippy.
At 4:04 in Baby Can Dance there's a sudden deceleration (and more so four seconds later).  Speed corrected whole section with factor of 106%, but could only do at single setting, as no accelerate/decelerate tool available.

Tape flip between Go Now and Betty Wrong - seamless.
Tape flip between Baby Can Dance and You Belong In Rock And Roll - seamless.
Tape flip between Baby Universal and Heaven's In Here - seamless.

Small gaps removed in encore breaks at ends of Heaven's In Here and You Can't Talk - crowd noise only.
